Abstract

Millennial generation comprises almost 50 percent of Indian population and it is expected that they lead the world business by 2025. The purpose of this study is to understand the factors that determine considerable influence on millennial employees’ well-being. This generation gives utmost priority to the developmental aspects of a job. They are high-maintenance employees and demands constant growth in their profession. So, organizational attention to nourish the professional life of millennial employees is expected to build up employee-organizational relationship. The study of extant literature shows that supporting this generation for developing themselves within an organization through workplace recognition, work involvement, fairness, supportive management etc., helps achieve organizational objectives and goals. The study shows that how one generation hold different expectations from an organization as compared with other generation, which can be fulfilled by executing appropriate HR polices based on employees’ demands. This would further bring mutual gains by satisfying the interest of both the parties and maximizing value creation.
