Abstract

The present work is developed on an expert system for CNC milling in sustainable manufacturing environment is successfully running in JAVA environment. It can be automatically generated NC codes for the machining of milling operations. Different algorithms developed to generate part programs of different milling operations i.e. Pocket, slot, contour and drilling operations. These algorithms have been implemented on minicomputer to generate NC part programs.The CNC expert system is used to verify these part programming. The outcomes are positive. The proposed work is beginning for automatic generation of NC code for simple milling operations and can also be extended for further intricate operations such as complex contours and pockets.
