Work Life Balance of Women Employees in Software Industry– An Analytical Study on Role of Spouse

Abstract

Working individuals strive to manage work demands alongside personal and familial responsibilities. Achieving a better work life balance is a pressing issue for many working individuals, who seek to avoid the negative consequences of an imbalanced life. A well-balanced personal and professional life can enhance well-being, job satisfaction, productivity, and relationships with loved ones.This paper focuses on studying the role of a spouse in the work life balance of women employees working in various software companies in Hyderabad. A total of 400 responses were collected from women employees working in software companies in Hyderabad. The study found that spouse cooperation in household work, taking care of children, and office work did not have a significant influence on work life balance. However, emotional support provided by the spouse was found to have a positive impact on work life balance. Study suggests that women employees who receive emotional support from their spouses tend to have better work life balance.
